iKlik (Ellis Mayes, trading as iKlik Web Design Bradford, Spring Bank, Priestthorpe Road, Bingley, BD16 4LL) has three governing documents: a Privacy Policy, a Cookie Policy, and Terms & Conditions of Business.
Privacy Policy (effective 13 May 2026)
iKlik collects name, email, mobile number, home address and work address from users of iklik.co.uk. This information is used for marketing and promotional purposes, collecting customer feedback, general administration, and managing customer orders. Any other use requires separate consent. Data is retained indefinitely, or for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, with some information kept longer for legal, record-keeping or fraud-prevention reasons; anonymised or aggregated data may be kept indefinitely. Users have the usual UK data rights: access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction or objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent, exercised by emailing enquiries@iklik.co.uk. iKlik applies “reasonable” security measures but does not guarantee absolute security, and disclaims responsibility for third-party sites linked from its Service. The policy can be changed at any time without prior notice, with changes taking effect 180 days after posting; continued use after that point counts as acceptance.
Cookie Policy (last updated 14 May 2026)
This should be read alongside the Privacy Policy. It explains cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, scripts, local storage) and sorts them into five categories: strictly necessary (e.g. consent-preference and security cookies, exempt from consent requirements), performance/analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, tracking pages visited and time on site), functionality (remembering preferences such as region or display settings), advertising/marketing/tracking, and social media/embedded content cookies (e.g. YouTube, maps, live chat). A cookie audit table lists specific cookies in use, including wordpress_test_cookie, several YouTube cookies (VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA, VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC, __Secure- variants), cookieyes-consent, and Google Analytics’ _ga and ga* cookies, with their providers, purposes and retention periods (ranging from session-only to indefinite). Non-essential cookies require explicit, positive consent via a cookie banner/consent tool, not silence or continued browsing, and consent can be withdrawn at any time through the site’s “Consent Preferences” tool, browser settings, or by clearing cookies. The document notes in places that the third-party provider list and contact details are placeholders still to be finalised (“Please update this list…” / “[Company Name]”).
Terms & Conditions of Business (last updated 12 May 2026, v15.5)
These govern contracts between iKlik and buyers of its web design, hosting, SEO and PPC services. Key commercial terms: quotations are open for 7 days and non-binding until iKlik countersigns or accepts by email; the minimum contract length is 12 months, and cancelling within that period triggers a charge equal to the full remaining contract balance. A non-refundable 50% deposit is due on order, with the balance invoiced on completion; late payments incur statutory interest plus a £40 late-payment charge after 14 days, and if a website isn’t finished within 28 days the full balance becomes payable. Standing-order customers commit to 12 months, then roll onto a 3-month rolling contract cancellable with 3 months’ written notice. All design/creation files remain iKlik’s intellectual property, and iKlik may reuse ideas, techniques and site elements freely unless otherwise agreed. Websites built on iKlik’s online platform cannot be transferred elsewhere; on cancellation, clients must either pay to create their own account with the platform provider or have the site removed. A 100MB fair-usage limit applies to standard hosting, with extra fees for larger sites. iKlik makes no guarantees about search engine rankings or PPC results, and disclaims liability for financial loss from ranking changes, domain non-renewal, or ecommerce use. For PPC/Facebook campaigns, a minimum £129/month management fee applies regardless of activity, dormant accounts (45+ days) may be suspended (£99 to reactivate), and clients cannot grant account access to a competing agency during the contract or for 6 months after. WordPress site owners are responsible for their own updates and backups unless they’ve bought a maintenance package (3 months included free). Liability is generally capped at re-performance or refund of the price paid, excluding indirect losses; the contract is governed by English law with exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, and terms may change at iKlik’s discretion without notice, posted on the website.
